Kabushima used to be a little island, but it connected with Hachinohe city in Aomori in 1942. Now it is famous that the breeding grounds for black‐tailed gulls (umineko). Now there is a Kabushima shrine on the top of the island. We have to put up an umbrella in order to avoid their droppings! I watched many black-tailed gulls and their baby birds. They were so cute!!
