Tendaiji temple in Iwate prefecture is old and famous temple in north area of Japan. It built by the monk Gyoki in 728. It had many halls and Buddha’s statue, but the anti-Buddhist movement at the beginning of the Meiji era, most of them were destroyed. Now it has some halls.
