Jojakkoji temple is located at Ogurayama hill where Japanese famous poet Teika Fujiwara’s villa “Jiutei” was built in 12 century. This temple was started in 1596. When I went, the hill was covered by the red and yellow leaves. The Taho-to pagoda was on the side of a hill, and this was 12 meter tall and made in 1620.

more wonderful colours – Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year
I wish your Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Great post again. One Question: What are hanging on the walls in the fourth photo from the top?
They are straw sandals (waraji), because patients come to pray for recovery from legs, eyes and lower back to Nio guardian gods.
