Ozegahara is a highland marsh (height 1400m) that you may see some animals. Bear, deer, short-tailed weasel (okojyo) and rabbit. I can meet wild ducks, hear the sound of birds and feel the fresh wind of nature.
Clean blue water at Oze’s pond and water-weeds
This pond can reflect an inverted image of Mt. Hiuchigatake in the water. Though I was waiting for a few minutes, the wind messed the reflection.
The wide filed of Ozegahara. The color changed the autumn image.
There are many ponds that changes their size day by day.
Kamino Oohorigawa river’s bridge
I was walking for one hour from Yamanohana, but It doesn’t seem to close to Mt. Hiuchigatake.
Ushikubi Bunki (fork). I returned the same way to Yamanohana because I had to ride a same bus. I hoped to stay and walk more!
Wood-walk of Ozegahara
Woods turned yellow or red at Ozegahara.
Erman’s Birch (Betula ermanii)
