They are the Royal Summer Palace Bang Pa-In which was built in 17th century. According to a chronicle of Ayutthaya, King Prasat Thong (1629-1656) had a palace constructed on Bang Pa-In Island in the Chao Phraya River. There are many kinds of buildings like Chinese, Western and Thailand style (that were built in 1872-1889), addition that a beautiful garden. I like Thailand style Aisawan Thiphya-Art which is a pavilion constructed in the middle of a pond. Now Thailand royal family occasionally use this palace for the reception, and Japanese Imperial family was invited. Our guide said there were a zoo in the garden, so I guessed they made a zoo for the royal family to enjoy. In fact, they loved to watch big green elephants as topiary. I could find lovely rabbits and so on.
