At Ueno Tosyogu Shrine, they opend the Peony’s garden in commemoration of a sign of goodwill between Japan and China in 1980. There are about 3,200 trees in the garden. Yesterday, it was a little bit late for peony-season, but I could take some good photos.

They’re wonderful – I’ve never seen so many varieties altogether like that before. It must have smelt heavenly, and the bees must have been drunk on all the pollen. Wonderful:)
I’m glad you like peony!
Peon flowers are so beautiful. You are lucky who can visit a peony garden!
There are some famous peony gardens in Tokyo. After the cherry blossoms, I like to go to see this flowers and azalea, so I’m very busy this season.
I love peonies. I have “peony 10” growing in my garden here. So lovely and fragrant too! Your photography here on your site is very beautiful. Thank you for visiting me today! ~ Lynda
I love peonies, too. My first gardening flower was a red peony. Thank you for your comment.
